I’m a great believer in the importance of following your dreams. 10 years ago I was a full time mum and aware that my baby was growing up fast and starting school. Maybe it was a new season for me to start to follow my dreams and so I embarked on my journey of becoming a graphic designer.
As this year is 10 years since I began my creative design journey and I decided that a full rebrand and launch were long overdue. Over the last decade I have built on my experience of creating unique and meaningful design solutions and found a great love for bringing a project to life with design that is authentic and tells a story.
I’m in the process of building on my journey and creating something new. I feel empowered to find my own style and feel most alive when I’m inspired to create and do what I’m good at!
Being my own boss means I can still be a housewife, mum and taxi but I’m in control of my work. I love working to my own schedule and working in a different way to most people. I have really created a job that works around my life and commitments.
Working from home by choice and not necessity is what works best for me and keeps me inspired. When I face a creative block I have the freedom to walk the dog, play the piano or read (preferably in the garden!)
If the last decade has taught me anything it is to be empowered to find my own way and my own style. I now have confidence in my worth and know how to say no to work if it is not a right fit for both me and the client. It’s up to me to show the right clients the value of my work.
So I’m continuing my design journey by being determined to live a creative and inspired life.
The colour palette this month is taken from my refreshed brand board.
