As the clocks go back the nights get darker and the landscape seems to be stripped bare we crave to make our homes seem bright and full of life rather than storing up our reserves to go into hibernation. There is a need to keep the gloom at bay.

This time of year builds on a sense of excitement. It starts with Halloween through to bonfire night and then all of a sudden it’s the countdown to Christmas.

Autumn continues to be the time to connect with the changes in nature and bring inside some of the colours of the season and keep a sense of nature and life when all outside can seem stripped bare. Let’s use this season to make our homes not only cosy and warm but vibrant and full of life.

Colour Palette

The colour palette this month is inspired by the unbelievably beautiful sunsets that we have experienced the last few evenings. The colours evolving and changing every minute.

From the flaming amber hue to the red berry accents and finally to the inky deep blue of the sky. It has truly been a spectacle to behold that makes me thankful for the wonder of creation. If only we could capture those moments more often, but then would they be so special?
