Christmas is literally around the corner and after a month of crazy busy preparation the best part of Christmas for me is the stopping, resting and reflecting on what the New Year may bring. Family time is so important especially these days but for us as a family our Christmas is simply about our faith, making memories and of course eating good food!

Decorating our home for Christmas is always a ritual of tradition. Trends may come and go but we like to create something that has a timeless appeal. We use the same tree we’ve had for 25 years and use just simple warm lights and simple plain decorations that have been collected over the years. No colours just a neutral palette of white, grey and black.

Our style could be described as Scandi-Luxe. A minimalist look that melts into the foundational decoration of our home. Scandi-Luxe is a look that fuses classic Nordic simplicity with luxurious textures and elegant touches. It’s aesthetic is both inviting and sophisticated and of course creates a space that lacks in clutter. My perfect combination as a parent who sits with a bin bag on Christmas morning clearing the wrapping paper as we go!

Colour Palette

The colour palette this month is a simple yet beautiful neutral collection that creates a warm and laid back vibe and includes nature inspired accent shades that compliment the season.

The soft pink creates a warm glow through to the icy greys and natural greens. The hues focus on the natural elements of soft wood, ice, snow and greenery.
